To become a Standing Order member, just choose the membership level you are interested in below and look for the pop-up box at the next step (or, if you are mailing in the form, select “Standing Order” there). Standing Order members agree to purchase all Club books upon publication and receive a 15% discount on every book. More information about the Standing Order program is available here.

Membership Benefits for You:

Standard Individual Membership, $95

Along with the satisfaction of knowing you’re now helping to continue the tradition of fine letterpress printing, you’ll receive many benefits as a Book Club of California Member:

Sustaining Membership, $150

Includes all the Standard membership benefits, plus:

Patron Membership, $250

Includes all the Sustaining membership benefits, plus:

  • BCC One-of-a-kind Ephemera Package: Receive a uniquely packaged gift of ephemera and keepsakes from the BCC archives.

Includes all the Patron membership benefits, plus:

  • Complimentary Club Event: Host your own event (up to two-hours) at The Book Club of California for no rental fee ($400 value).

Benefactor Membership, $1000

Includes all the Patron membership benefits, plus:

  • Complimentary Club Event: Host your own event (up to four-hours) at The Book Club of California for no rental fee ($800 value).
  • A complimentary three-hour class at the San Francisco Center for the Book.

Student Membership, $25

Includes the Book Club’s Quarterly News-Letter.

Apprentice, $35

Includes the Book Club’s Quarterly News-Letter and a 10% pre-publication discount on all books ordered.

Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. The BCC Federal Tax ID is 46-2954746. In accordance with the Internal Revenue Code, the tax-deductible portion of annual membership dues is $36 for Standard, $91 for Sustaining, $191 for Patron, $441 for Sponsor, and $941 for Benefactor.
