Book Club Closures
The club rooms are open by appointment and for scheduled events.
Business Hours & Programs
The Book Club of California’s business office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Members may use the clubrooms for reading and quiet study generally from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., subject to availability.
Public programs are typically held on Monday evenings from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Library
The Albert Sperisen Library is available for scholarly research by appointment only. The Book Club’s librarian, Elizabeth Newsom, may be reached at library@bccbooks.org.
Closures
We may close periodically to install/deinstall an exhibition, set up for a program, or host a special event. We will endeavor to post these closures on the website in advance and we will post signage at the entrance to the Book Club on the day of the closure. Please call (415) 781-7532 to inquire about access to the clubrooms prior to arriving.
We are closed on New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. In addition, the Book Club is also closed the days before and after Christmas and the day after Thanksgiving.
