The Book Club of California is hosting a Summer Book Sale, offering a selection of deaccessioned library books, ephemera, and periodicals, as well as current Book Club publications. Volumes donated by members from their personal collections for the purpose of selling and fundraising for the club will also be available.
A variety of finely printed and bound materials will be available, many of which have been created in limited editions. Subject matters include California literature, history, art, and agriculture, as well as book collecting, book selling, fine printing, bookmaking, and graphic arts.
Notable printers include Lawton and Alfred Kennedy, Grabhorn Press, Yolla Bolly Press, Patrick Reagh, Sunflower Press, and Taylor, Nash & Taylor.
All profits will fund the club’s library, as well as the series of programs, exhibitions, and publications produced each year.
